It is a simple and effective method by observing the changes in the color and shape of the tongue to assist in diagnosis and identification.
The front one-third of the tongue relates to the lungs, heart, neck, and chest. The center of the tongue relates to the spleen, stomach, and pancreas. The rear one-third area of the tongue relates to the kidney, intestines. The side of the tongue relates to the liver and gall bladder. When we look at our tongue, we are not only checking the corresponding organs, we also check the color, the coating, and the shape of the tongue.The tongue bodies,the color, the coating, and the shape can tell us a lot of internal organs as well.The tongue's body color indicates the state of Blood, organs, and nutrition of our body. The tongue shape indicates the internal organs are in the deficiency stage or excess stage.The coating on the top of our tongue can tell us our organ toxin level.
A normal tongue body are soft, free movement and slightly pink colour. The tongue is covered slightly thin, and even textured coating. The coating is also moderate dryness and wetness.
Tongue diagnosis is suitable for patients who are interested in traditional Chinese medicine, but they are not ready to take full-body consultation and treatment yet, they are cautious that if their tongue can find any potential imbalance in their body.
